NYC's fabled Joe's Pizza,
which surveyors say sets "the standard for great slices in Manhattan," is
opening a block from the beach at the western edge of Santa Monica;
pies should start flying out of the oven by the end of September (111 Broadway @ Ocean
Ave).

New York promised us lots and lots of imports, and this weekend they delivered an outpost of Joe's Pizza one block from Santa Monica's beach; Joe's
Pizza have been turning out reputable pies since 1975, and
is committed to spreading the gospel to the heathens of the West Coast,
proffering admirably crusty slices of pizza both New York–style and
Sicilian (rectangular).
